This dog is being adopted as a companion animal only and will have any registration papers changed to “limited registration” before adoption, if registered.
(The
following is our definition of Limited AKC Registration)
"Limited
AKC Registration:
This dog seems to be of “Pet” quality and/or is being sold
as a companion animal only. It
should never be used for breeding stock.
This dog may have disqualifying faults at the time of purchase and is to
be spayed/neutered not earlier than 6 months of age and prior to 10 months of
age for female, and 18 months of age for males."
An Adoption fee may be required to
offset medical costs. We, at BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS make every effort to vaccinate,
microchip and sterilize our rescue dogs prior to being adopted and very often
we get dogs in that are in need of other medical attention, all of which cost
money. The Adoption fee is merely an effort to recoup some of these costs and
very often only reflects the cost of the spay/neuter.

1.
The
above dog’s registration papers, if any, will be given within 6 months of
adoption and health records will be given at time of adoption. All dogs from BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS have
received the medical inoculations and worming appropriate for the age of the
dog and are guaranteed to be in good health at the time of adoption. The adopter agrees to microchip or
permanently tattoo the above dog by the age of 6 months, naming BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS as the
alternative contact on the microchip/tattoo registry, if not already done.
2. The
adopter will not sell or give the above dog to any retail/wholesale pet stores,
animal shelters, nor to anyone intending to breed for commercial resale or to
any breeder who is unethical. BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS
is to have
first right of refusal should the adopter decide that they can no longer
provide a home for this dog, for any reason, for the rest of this dogs life. This dog is only to come back to us and is
not to be sold or given away to anyone else at any time.
NO MONEY will be refunded at any time.
3. This
dog is never to be bred to any dog at any time and must be spayed or neutered
by 10 months of age, if not already sterilized. The adopter assumes all veterinarian expenses after taking
possession of the dog. The adopter will
also be responsible for any shipping cost should this dog be shipped out of
state or country.
4.
All
dogs from BLACK MASK
ROTTWEILERS must receive basic obedience training and have
adequate living conditions appropriate for the breed. This means a fenced yard or equivalent with adequate shelter and has
access to the family home. This dog is never to ride in the back of an open pick
up truck without being crated and is never to be tied out nor is it to spend
its entire life outside. This dog is being adopted as a family companion
and should have access to the family home. Should BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS deem that
this dog is being used for inappropriate purposes, the adopter will forfeit
ownership back to BLACK
MASK ROTTWEILERS. The adopter
agrees to maintain this dog in good health at all times. If at any time, the maintenance of this dog
is life threatening or simply inadequate to our standards, either emotionally
or physically, the adopter will forfeit ownership back to BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS.
5.
The
adopter agrees to periodic home visits or phone calls to update us on the
progress of the adopted animal. BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS
does not warrant the behavior of
this dog since most behavior problems and aggression are a result of poor
ownership, either inadequate socialization or improper training. This is why it is imperative that this dog
be well socialized and has at least basic obedience.
The undersigned, having read
and fully understand the conditions of this contract, do hereby agree to uphold
all provisions and covenants set forth in this agreement. BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS
or its representatives shall
be held harmless for any damages, settlements, or judgments resulting from
injuries sustained from this dog or the mismanagement of this dog. This contract shall be deemed a legally
binding contract and is non-transferable. It is understood that this contract
is being entered into in Whatcom county in the state of Washington, USA, and is legally bound by
the laws of that county and state. This contract
is being entered into and enforced to insure the well being of this dog and the
reputation of the Rottweiler breed.
This document represents the entire agreement between the adopter and
BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS,
or its representatives, and all other arrangements, either expressed or
implied, between the two parties, are null and void.

SPAY/NEUTER CLAUSE
I,____________________________________________(the adopter) agree that if I am adopting an animal that is not already spayed or neutered, I will have said dog sterilized within 30 days of taking possession (or by the age of 10 months if I am adopting a puppy under the age of 6 months). Proof of the sterilization will be given to Black Mask Rottweilers. Should I fail to sterilize said dog or show proof of sterilization to BLACK MASK ROTTWEILERS within the allotted time period, I will forfeit said dog back to Black Mask Rottweilers.
